About Us...
Tennis Retreats was built on a simple idea: to combine world-class instruction with unforgettable travel experiences.
My name's Luke Blackman. I've been playing tennis since I was six years old, and the game has shaped nearly every part of my life. From my childhood in Chevy Chase, Maryland to Sanibel, Florida, I’ve seen how tennis and travel naturally intersect. Today, I'm based in Atlanta, Georgia, I coach year-round and compete in ALTA and USTA leagues, staying deeply connected with the sport.
After graduating from the University of Florida in 2019, where I spent four years competing on the club tennis team and reaching the National stage, I continued pursuing my passion through coaching. Over the past 8+ years, I’ve worked with players of all ages and levels—helping them improve their technique, strategy, and confidence on the court.
What always stood out to me was this: the most meaningful experiences in tennis don’t just happen during training—they happen through the people you meet and the places you go.
Tennis doesn’t just make you a healthier person physically; it sharpens you mentally and emotionally. Our retreats offer a unique environment where you can improve your game, connect with like-minded people, and create lasting memories, giving you a newfound mental clarity and recharge.
I believe that the best improvement happens when you’re fully engaged and enjoying the process.
Our approach balances intentional coaching and real technical development, match play with live feedback and strategy, and a relaxed, friendly environment that keeps the experience fun. Because when you enjoy it—you get better, faster.
Tennis has opened doors for me all over the world. It’s given me lifelong friendships, unforgettable experiences, and a passion that continues to grow. It's positive transformation on me as an individual in indescribable and cannot be understated.
Through Tennis Retreats, my goal is simple: to help others experience that same impact—while improving their game in a more meaningful, more lasting way.
